From “Bookstore Journal”:

"Smith does an excellent job helping readers tame the fear of commitment in their lives. Although his primary audience is Christians suffering from chronic commitment anxiety, he also targets people with less serious struggles.

"Smith's approach is practical and encouraging. Using real-life and biblical anecdotes, he shows how fear affects almost everyone. People dislike losing freedom and assuming new obligations; thus, 'commitment fear is at heart the dread of losing control.'

"A main theme is Smith's belief that God gives people right opportunities, not perfect ones. He says it's unrealistic and distressing to expect perfect certainly about God's will in decision-making. Other topics include learning the value of tradeoffs, understanding phobias, overcoming fears of success, managing mood swings and runaway emotions, and dealing with mixed signals about inward guidance and intuition. In the final section Smith addresses commitment's benefits, which when emphasized, help defuse fear in careers, relationships, and spiritual life."

Finally! Freedom from the fog!
By Nick Graff
I have been struggling with making a career decision for years!

I have asked a multitude of counselors and though I got great advice and a common theme which did give me guidance, i still got no clear path from God.

Although I don't know 100% if my conviction is correct after reading this book, it really cleared alot of fog from my mind. My biggest takeaway is that I have been thinking emotionally more than logically.

I am a visionary and when I think too far in the future, all I can see is the work it takes to get there. Through daily devotions, I only need to trust God and the rest will work itself out.

I am so glad I read this book, I have more confidence to take on some of the risks I wasn't sure were Godly. Through those risks, I can grow closer to Jesus.

Thank you God, bless M. Blaine Smith!

Dont judge this book by its cover...
By Caleb and Rachel Murrieta
a little cliche, i know. the cover of this book IS a little boring, but i've personally benefited from this book.

there are a lot of information held up in this book; stuff that you're pastor or mentor wont be able to tell you. if you really study the bible, and yearn for knowledge, this one will give it.
